Supporting understanding local politics & active citizenship

Llanelli Hustings

Rivki Rose Training is proud to support the development and nurturing of active citizenship in the local area. As a result we were happy to sponsor the West Wales Chronicle Llanelli Hustings.

Rebecca Rosenthal was invited to chair the debates between the candidates.

The candidates present were:

  • Scott Jones, Trade Uniion & Socialist Coalition (TUSC)

  • Sian Caiach, People First

  • Vaughan Williams, Plaid Cymru

  • Guy Smith, Green Party

  • Selaine Saxby, Conservatives

  • Nia Griffith, Labour

  • Ken Rees, UK Independence Party (UKIP)

Unfortunately Cen Philips, Liberal Democrats didn’t attend.

The audience appeared to be a mixture of party supporters and local residents who had no current party engagement – votes that really could be swayed!

For more information, video clips and a run down of the debate, check out www.westwaleschronicle.co.uk

Good luck to all of the candidates on Thursday!
